Noorderzon Festival Groningen

Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival Groningen finds place from 22 August – 1 September 2025. This international art festival is a great summer festival in the north of the country. It attracts more than 130.000 visitors each year.

The Noorderzon Festival in Groningen is very popular among the locals. It attracts some 135.000 visitors. During 11 days visitors come to check out different performances on several outdoor stages and in big tents.

In the idyllic green city park ‘Noorderplantsoen’ you will find the festival village. There is no entrance fee and therefore you can enjoy music, dancing and good company for free! In addition, you will find some venues DownTown in Groningen that part of the festival.

Noorderzon Festival presents performances by international companies. You will find mostly leading names and adventurous new makers. They bring stories from all over the world to Groningen. However, these performances are not for free and only available with tickets.
